ECCOgen's President to Present at the 2008 Keiretsu Forum Expo
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., March 20, 2008 – ECCOgen, a leading provider of reloadable prepaid cards for the K-12 schools, today announced Michael Ferguson, co-founder and managing partner, will speak at the Keiretsu Forum Angel Capital Expo at the PG&E Auditorium in downtown San Francisco.
At the Angel Capital Expo on Friday, April 25, Ferguson will be one of eight entrepreneurs making a 15-minute presentation on why ECCOgen is a solid and strong investment. He will be available for additional discussion and due diligence at an executive booth throughout the day.
"We're excited to present at the largest angel group in the U.S. and at its largest event," Ferguson said. "We hope to establish deep relationships with quality investors as well as raise a little money."
The ECCOgen's core product is the ECCOgen Campus Card, which is a unique prepaid program that functions as a student ID and stored value card for on campus use and a student discount card for off campus use at over 20,000 participating retailers. It also allows schools to move towards a cashless campus, giving students a versatile and secure means to make purchases on their school's campus, and parents can load funds online and review purchases.
The Angel Capital Expo will be hosted by the Keiretsu Forum, the world's largest angel investment community. The Expo is the premier gathering of angel investors and entrepreneurs. More than 400 active and respected angel investors will attend the Expo on Friday, April 25, from 7:30am to 3:30pm. In addition to Keiretsu Forum's Bay Area members, members from Keiretsu Forum Seattle/Northwest, Denver/Rockies, Southern California, Barcelona, and London will attend the all-day event.
"Innovation is the lifeblood of the California economy, and the Angel Capital Expo will be a valuable opportunity for both entrepreneurs and investors to come together," said Matthew Le Merle, Co-President of Keiretsu Forum San Francisco and North Bay.
