In Fall 2006, Food Service Solutions will begin offering the ECCO Campus Card Program to all their current customers. The ECCO Campus Card is a unique, pre paid card program that will give schools and students a versatile, secure means to conduct purchases at the campus cafeteria in addition to using the traditional PIN or biometric system.

The ECCO Campus Card offers the following three benefits in one card:

Pre-Paid Stored Value Card – the card complements the existing FSS solution.

  • ECCO Card slides through the FSS Card Reader
  • Students carry School I.D. with student picture on the card

1.) ECCO Student Discounts – 20,000 retail discounts for parents and students.

  • The ECCO Campus Card saves parents and students hundreds of dollars with discounts on textbooks, school supplies, travel, and more!
  • The Card provides parents and students with exclusive discounts of up to 50% off at many national businesses and online merchants.
  • Top Brands such as: Microsoft, Sony, Adobe, Dell, Loews Entertainment Theaters, Barnes and Nobles, Staples, Foot Locker, Travelocity, Champs, Target, Beauty.com, and eMusic.
  • Powered by Student Advantage (www.studentadvantage.com).

2.) School Benefits – turn a cost into a profit center.

  • ECCO will extend the life of the current FSS System (upgrades as necessary)
  • ECCO will pay the annual on-going maintenance fees, website access fees for www.myschoolaccount.com, and hardware extended warranty expense.
  • ECCO will purchase the DataCard camera solution, which allows for schools to produce in-house Student and Staff I.D. pictures.
  • ECCO will design and produce all cards for the students.
  • ECCO will donate $10 per year per card member to the high school.

3.) Parent Benefits – ECCO has a password protected log-in for accessing a wide range of useful information, such as the following programs:

  • College Scholarship Program – ECCO will save you time and money by assisting you in your search for scholarships based on you and your child's eligibility.
  • College Funding Program – ECCO provides current information to assist you in your college funding plans.
  • Financial Education – ECCO's recommended reading materials, which are designed to assist parents in educating their teens about financial responsibility.
  • ECCO Entrepreneur Club – Your child may enroll in ECCO's Entrepreneur Club which offers an introduction to basic business techniques such as developing a business and marketing plan. The Entrepreneur Club is sponsored by Junior Achievement.

This program is being offered to high schools for Fall 2006. The program costs $55 per year per card member (paid by parents) and includes a Pre-Paid Stored Value Card, ECCO Discounts, Student Picture I.D., and access to all the benefits on the ECCO web site.
